UPSA Global Alumni in Collaboration with Trinity Theological Seminary Donate Water Reservoir (Polytank, Rambo 300) and Office Furniture to UPSA Police Station

On Wednesday, 31st July, the UPSA Police Station played host to a brief but meaningful donation ceremony, as part of ongoing efforts to strengthen institutional support for campus security. The event marked the presentation of a water reservoir (Polytank) and ten (10) pieces of office furniture to the station by the UPSA Global Alumni Association.
The ceremony was attended by key figures including Mr. Francis Dadzie, President of the UPSA Global Alumni Association, Mrs. Joyce Boham, Deputy Director (Institute of Women in Religion and Culture) of Trinity Theological Seminary, ASP Mr. Twum Buabeng (Legon District Commander), Chief Inspector Asiedu (Station Officer) and officers of the UPSA Police Station.
In his remarks, Mr. Francis Dadzie noted that after acquiring the land from Lands Commission on behalf of UPSA and the Police Station project was about to be initiated, he wrote to the surrounding Firms and Organizations to help support in funding the construction. Trinity Theological Seminary promised to donate furniture to the Station after completion. He additionally stated that when the Station Officer informed him about the need for additional furniture, he approached the management of Trinity Theological Seminary asking if they could fulfill their promise which they did by delivering the furniture. The donation formed part of the alumni association’s commitment to giving back to the institution and supporting the essential services that keep the university community safe.
Mrs. Joyce Boham, speaking on behalf Trinity Theological Seminary, applauded the initiative and underscored the importance of community partnerships. She stressed that acts of support like these go beyond mere charity they serve as catalysts for cooperation and institutional development.
The items donated a water reservoir (Polytank) and ten (10) pieces of office furniture are expected to significantly enhance the working environment of the station. The Polytank will help address ongoing water supply challenges, while the new furniture will improve general comfort and efficiency for the station’s personnel.
Receiving the donation on behalf of the station, ASP Mr. Twum Buabeng expressed deep gratitude for the gesture, describing it as timely and impactful. They acknowledged the alumni association’s continued support and pledged to maintain the strong relationship between the police and the broader UPSA community.
