20-member planning committee inaugurated for UPSA@60 celebrations

Professor John K. M. Mawutor, the Vice-Chancellor of the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), established a committee on April 10, 2025, to lead the preparation and coordination of the events honouring the university’s 60th anniversary.
Mr Kwabena Agyekum, the Registrar and CEO of the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG), serves as the chair of the 20-member committee.
During the Tuesday, April 8 inauguration event, Prof. Mawutor asked the committee to create a detailed plan for the UPSA@60 celebrations.
He highlighted the anniversary’s importance, saying it is a chance to consider UPSA’s accomplishments and look forward to the future with a fresh vision.
Setting specific objectives, creating a reasonable schedule, effectively managing the budget, organising subcommittees, and guaranteeing the smooth operation of all operations were among the duties assigned to the committee by the vice chancellor.
