UPSA@60 Planning Committee Engages GCB to Strengthen Strategic Partnership for Landmark Anniversary Celebrations

The UPSA@60 Planning Committee earlier today paid a courtesy call on Ghana Commercial Bank as part of activities marking the University’s 60th anniversary celebrations.
The delegation was led by the Vice Chairman of the Planning Committee and President of the UPSA Global Alumni Association, Francis Dadzie, who formally extended an invitation to the Managing Director of GCB, Farihan Alhassan, and the bank’s leadership to actively participate in the upcoming anniversary events.

Mr. Dadzie highlighted key activities lined up for the celebration, including a Business Conclave scheduled for 15th May. The CEO’s business conclave is being hosted by the distinguished Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, an esteemed alumnus of the University right here on UPSA campus. He also encouraged GCB to consider installing an ATM on campus to enhance accessibility and visibility.
In response, Mr. Alhassan expressed appreciation for the visit and commended the University for its remarkable growth and impact over the years. He further pledged GCB’s full support towards the successful organization of the UPSA@60 celebrations.

Other members of the UPSA delegation included the Director of Administration, Dr. Mrs. Leticia Akyeampong, and Dr. Aku Sika Andoh.
The visit forms part of ongoing efforts to strengthen collaboration and deepen strategic partnerships between academia and industry. It also provided an avenue to seek GCB’s support and participation in the year-long anniversary activities.
The UPSA@60 Planning Committee reaffirmed its commitment to fostering meaningful industry-academic relationships that drive professional development, leadership, and institutional growth.
