UPSA Global Alumni Association President Presents GH 2,000 Cash to the ‘Buz Stop Boys’ for Their Remarkable Voluntary Work at the UPSA PRESEC Road
On September 5, 2024, the President of the UPSA Global Alumni Association applauded and presented GH 2000.00 cash to the efforts of a group of dedicated volunteerism, the ‘‘Buz Stop Boys’’, for their commendable work in maintaining cleanliness and beautifying the UPSA PRESEC road. The President encouraged them to persist in their selfless activities while calling for broader political collaboration to support such initiatives.
The Global Alumni President emphasized the importance of community service, highlighting how students in the early 80s use their vacations to engage in voluntary projects that benefited the society. “During long vacations, you go out to be able to do something and help others, and it is now being done by the ‘Buz Stop Boys’,” he said. He noted that this spirit of volunteerism should not be politicized but rather viewed as an opportunity for all political parties to unite for the greater good of Ghana.
He added, “The youth leaders of the NPP, NDC, and other political parties should join to show their leadership so that we can know we have a system.”
The President clarified that the youth group movement should not be about promoting violence or political rivalry but rather about collaboration and service, he concluded.
The ‘Buz Stop Boys’ continue to inspire hope, leading the way in creating lasting change at the grassroots level, and their efforts have not gone unnoticed. Their story is a shining example of how local action can contribute to national growth.
